About Me
I'm not so different from you. I've suffered pain, broken relationships and mental health issues. Believe it or not, you can change these feelings with time and help.

I am a parent too, its challenging and it doesn't come with a manual. However, to have good relationships with our children we can learn to improve our connection with them by knowing how we were brought up and what didn't work.
With my training and qualifications plus lots of school of life experience, I'll work with you to understand what might be happening to you, with the same techniques that helped me.

I'm down to earth and don't profess to have all the answers. Therapy is teamwork, and I believe no one size fits. Outside of work, I'm a keen gardener and cook. I love to get involved in my local community and get out and about with my dog and my family.

'A Tigger who thought she was an Eeyore'
There’s no magic cure to ill mental health – trust me I know first hand. However, if you are ready to start your therapy journey there is -in my humble opinion - no better guide for said journey and therapist than Anita Eng.
What is your evidence for this? I hear you ask.
Her number one priority is your safety and wellbeing, which may sound obvious but from my own previous experiences can often be overlooked. It’s the small things that really make a difference.
If you don’t feel safe and comfortable how can you share what has been going on for you?
It can take a little while- as in any relationship- to build the client /therapist trust but I can reassure you that the rewards you will reap are worth more than anything. After all, no journey is without its uphill sections.
I have never had therapy or counselling sessions like Anita’s before. There are no tick box lists or rigid objectives or goals or things to achieve in 6 weeks.
For 50 minutes of my week, it is my time: to bring myself and my story and for the first time in my life, I felt truly seen and heard. Anita effortlessly weaves in all of the therapy techniques she has diligently mastered. Of course, there are goals and stages to therapy and an overarching structure but at no point does it encroach on the session in a negative sense. There are no ‘have tos’ or ‘shoulds’ – just you and where you are at that time on that day. Anita is incredibly intuitive and sensitive and the pace and intensity of each session is always just right.
I have always come out of a therapy session feeling more grounded and happier in myself, which again for me is testament to Anita’s care and practice.
Thanks to Anita I am so much self-aware, and with that more trusting of myself. I also have techniques to work through stress and anxieties that life throws at me and ride the wave rather than being engulfed by it. And for that, I cannot thank her enough.
As your therapist I am ready to listen to your story to help you understand yourself better and make positive changes to your life.
